Register reminder

Dont forget to register if you haven't already. This year there are separate deadline dates to be aware of. If you're voting for Obama, most states have the deadline about a month in advance, so asap would be good. If your going to vote for McCain the date to register is after November 4th.

We have everything moved

This weekend we moved all our stuff from Dallas (Plano) to our new place in Austin. My parents helped bring the artwork, plants and other delicate things down. Late last night I finally moved all the boxes in the house and returned the uhaul.

This week we will be unpacking, setting up internet and all the things necessary to get the house ready. Hopefully by next weekend we can relax and go have some fun.

Cosmic Cafe

We went to dinner tonight with our friends Sheedeh and Maria to Cosmic Cafe veggie restaurant in Dallas after the art reception at Aria Salon. Zoe had a good time playing with Moo-Moo outside.

The reason McCain may be the next president..

Here is a great article on the Republic of Redneckia and the political system, worth reading.

Blather bla po fadder poo doo

Will Palin speak in tongues during the election debates? We could have the whole debate in tongues. She is also part of a religious group who is obsessed with the end of the world. They also believe in Christianity(their brand of it) taking over the world, banishing witchcraft(lookout Harry Potter) and other "interesting" stuff. I think they are drilling for gas a bit too much up in Alaska, there seems to be a leak in the church.

Speaking of the end of the world, here is an interesting article.

A New Day in Austin

We rented a house in Austin! Its a duplex, we have the back part. Its in a neighborhood called Brentwood. Nikki also found a midwife. She has a pet turtle who lives out back of her house. Zoe had fun watching Shelly the turtle eating corn. We are moving in the next couple of weeks.

Purple Sky at Night

We came out of Veggie Garden after dinner tonight and noticed the remnants of Hurricane Gustav blowing over.  The wind was blowing strong and for about 15 minutes part of the sky went from violet to purple.  Nikki took some great photos.  Zoe had fun playing in the wind, running around trees and checking out the moon.

Hopefully this story is false...but probably not

I found this story about how the US might be stepping up plans to attack yet another oil rich country.
