Hi from Austin

We made a last minute decision to drive down to Austin this weekend. We are having fun even though the humidity is slowing us down a bit. Lots of veg places to eat. It seems every time we come to Austin we see a homeless guy, with a long beard, wearing false boobs and no pants with womens g-string on. Its not the same guy, just a collection of scantily clothed homeless cross dressers I guess. He was very nice though, said hi to Zoe and made bird noise, very good ones.

I couldn't get a good shot of the double-Ds and long ZZ top style beard, but I got a nice bootey shot.

Zoe's Birthday Cake

For Zoes birthday today we had dinner at Veggie Garden. Zoe had spinach and tofu miso soup (one of her favorites) and sesame soy. Then we came home and she opened a present from us and had some birthday cake. Good stuff.

Name a country that starts with U

I showed this to Nikki and afterwards she had a dazed look on her face, I asked what was wrong, she said "the video was scary". Just realize when watching this that their votes count the same as yours does.

Also, we have a little poll going to the right (under the Flickr banner) asking who you think will be the next president, so far Obama is 100% (Nikki and I already voted).

This Week In Zoe

This week Zoe has been full of observations. Daddy drinks coffee and feeds the birds. Mommy drinks tea. All very interesting.

She cut two teeth, the upper and lower canines on the right, and the two left canines will break through any day. Here are a few of her favorite things of the week -

Fav food: soup!

Fav word and body part: arm pits (they're funny)

Fav toy: pretend play with the little people on the farm

Fav color: YELLOW (4 weeks running)

Fav DVD: Blue's Clues

Yeti, Sasquatch. Bigfoot

I found a great story on Yetis. In case you didn't know, panda bears were not proven to exist by western standards until 1869.

Photos of Zoe

We recently had photos of Zoe taken professionally. We just got them back last week. Here are 3 of the photos.

Movie with Zoe

I took Zoe to a movie this afternoon, Kung Fu Panda, while Nikki stayed home and made some good muffins.
Zoe did great, she watched the whole movie! I'm very proud of her.

Art Reception

We just got back from the Outside the Lines 8 art reception at the Bath House Cultural Center in Dallas. It was a lot of fun being in the same show together. There was a large turnout for the reception and some great pieces of work.

funny site

I found this list of "stuff white people like". This list describes us and most of our friends (regardless of their ethnicity, its more of the personality type). Its pretty funny stuff.
